100% Sauvignon Blanc

Wairau Valley, Marlborough

Adam Hazeldine
Recommended Food:
Great with seafood or fish meals. Try with fresh oysters!
Recommended Cellaring:
Best enjoyed while young.
Production Notes:
A minimal approach to winemaking was taken with these single vineyard wines. At harvest, parcels of fruit were carefully selected from the Headwaters Vineyard in the Wairau Valley. The fruit was quickly crushed and fermented in stainless steel tanks to retain aromatics particular to this unique site. The individual parcels were assessed, blended and lightly fined before bottling.
Tasting Notes:
Gunflint, tropical fruit and red currents form an intriguing and very lifted bouquet. The wine has a beautifully textured palate, finely structured and smoothly linear with great drive and length. Fruit-wise we have sweet gooseberry and tropical fruits with long citrus notes to finish. Fantastic balance.
Awards:
